On Sept. 27, 2018, Natalie Law, social services director at Life Care Center of Stonegate in Parker, Colorado, was honored as a finalist for the Social Services Worker of the Year Award by the Colorado Health Care Association.
Law was honored with the other finalists at the CHCA annual conference, held in Denver.
Law has been the director of social services since the building opened in 2012. She was nominated for her years of experience and resources, her ability to put residents and their families at ease and taking the time to listen to residents, families and associates who are going through tough times. She steps up to assist in other departments and helps train new social workers at sister facilities in the Denver area.
“Natalie is the heart and soul of the facility,” said Lucas Carroll, executive director. “She works tirelessly each day to ensure that our residents have everything they need. Numerous times I’ll be talking with a resident and the resident will gush about how she was in their room until late in the evening the night before helping them through a difficult situation.”
“It is such an honor to have been nominated, and I’m truly humbled to have been a chosen finalist,” said Law. “Working beside such a supportive team allows me to devote my time and skills to the residents and families who are in need of the advocacy and guidance to be most successful after leaving Life Care Center of Stonegate. Having the opportunity to touch the lives of every resident who enters our facility in such a profound way is truly a privilege and one that fuels my love for what I do every day.”
