Life Care Center of Stonegate in Parker, Colorado, recently achieved a deficiency-free state survey.
To pass the state survey each year, nursing facilities must meet hundreds of criteria. These survey visits are unannounced and address not only nursing care and resident safety, but also patients’ rights, food services, administration and the facility’s environment. Surveyors spend several days in the building reviewing paperwork, observing resident care and interviewing residents and associates.
“A deficiency-free survey is a rarity in Colorado, and you can already see the pride this accomplishment holds with the associates,” said Lucas Carroll, executive director. “The survey outcomes are a testament to the hard work of the amazing people who work here.”
Surveyors provided multiple comments on the happiness of the residents and kindness and timeliness of the staff.
The survey results were announced on Nov. 1, 2017.
